Ithynx is a five-person studio. We work across computer vision, generative AI, Agentic AI, and early-stage quantum. Some of it goes into client products. Some of it we ship ourselves. Like SHEM.

Computer Vision
Image and document understanding for the scribbled inputs general models break on. Receipts, medical forms, supply-chain catalogs, hand-filled paperwork.
Generative AI
LLM applications tuned to specific industries. Question-paper generators, knowledge assistants, content tools that actually fit a workflow.
Agentic AI
Multi-step agents that complete real tasks. Interview screening, research summarization, structured document workflows. Not chatbots.
Mobile Apps
Native iOS and Android apps where the AI runs on or close to the device. SHEM is one; we build this shape for clients too.
Quantum
Early-stage research and prototyping in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems. For teams who want a foothold before the hardware catches up.
Four-week sprints. Fixed fee. Stop between sprints.
A 30-minute scoping call first. No slide deck. If it's a fit, we send a scope and a fixed-fee proposal within a week. We work in four-week sprints and ship working software at the end of each one.
You can stop after any sprint. We'd rather you do that than stay stuck in a bad engagement.

Ithynx is Dr. S. Sumathi (Founder & CEO; professor at St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai) and Kalpana Arvind (Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor; 38 years at ISRO, retired as Deputy Director at LEOS). We started Ithynx in March 2026 to do focused, useful AI work for people and teams who'd otherwise be priced out of it. Five of us today.
